Mastery Points

Mastery Points (MP) are what you earn for studying. They count in two places at once:

• Study Group leaderboard — MP from decks shared with that group.

• Your profile — lifetime MP from everything you study, shared or not.

One formula feeds both. The only difference is which streak multiplies them.

Points per activity

ActivityBase MP

Spaced Repetition — card rated OK or Easy

3 MP

Spaced Repetition — card rated Impossible or Hard

1 MP

Fast Review — per card

1 MP

Quiz / Exam Simulation — correct answer

3 MP

Quiz / Exam Simulation — wrong answer

1 MP

Oral Exam — per finished exam

up to 50 MP

Case Study — per finished case

up to 50 MP

Oral Exams and Case Studies scale with your score: 100% earns the full 50 MP, 50% earns 25 MP, 0% earns nothing.

Skipping a quiz question ("I don't know") earns nothing — you didn't attempt it.

Which one gets the points

• Studying a deck shared with a group → that group's leaderboard and your lifetime MP.

• Studying your own deck → lifetime MP only.

Streak multiplier

A streak multiplies every point you earn.

Each side keeps its own streak:

• Group MP is multiplied by your streak in that group — study every day to keep it going. • Lifetime MP is multiplied by your profile streak, the one on your profile and heatmap. A day counts once you've done 10 flashcards or quiz questions — they add up together, so 6 cards and 4 quiz answers is a day.

Both tick up once per day, and both reset to zero if you miss a full day.

Examples

• 20 SR cards rated OK on day 1 →  20 × 3 × 1.00  = 60 MP

• 10 correct quiz answers on day 7 →  10 × 3 × 1.50  = 45 MP

• A 100% Oral Exam on day 4 →  50 × 1.15  = 58 MP • A 70% Case Study on day 10 →  35 × 1.50  = 53 MP

Study a shared deck and both counters move at the same time — the group's with its multiplier, your lifetime with yours.
