Spaced Repetition is a study method that shows each card right before you are likely to forget it. It combines active recall with smart scheduling so you remember more with less total study time.
💡 Why it works
You try to recall first, then reveal the answer.
You rate how well you knew it.
Flashka schedules the next review at the right time.
Result: stronger long-term memory and fewer cramming sessions.
🏁 Where to start
From Flashcard view. Click Study now and choose Spaced Repetition.
From Document view. Click Study now in the right panel.
From To-Do. Check your To Review list and start.
🏷️ What the tags mean
New. Cards you have never seen in Spaced Repetition.
To Review. Cards due today based on your schedule.
Done. Cards completed for today.
🎮 The study screen
Show answer. Press the button or hit Space to reveal the back.
Audio. Play the card aloud when available.
AI Helps. Ask Professor Ka for hints or explanations.
Shuffle. Randomize order for this session.
Quit Study. Leave the session and keep your progress.
🧠 Rate yourself after revealing
Choose one option that matches how well you knew the answer. The text below each button shows when the card will return next.
Impossible. You did not know it. Schedules very soon.
Hard. You barely got it. Schedules soon.
OK. You knew it with some effort. Schedules later.
Easy. You knew it instantly. Schedules much later.
Be honest. Accurate self-ratings are what make the algorithm powerful.
🛠️ During study
Edit a card if you spot a mistake. Changes save instantly.
Convert long answers into lists or cloze items to make recall cleaner.
Use AI Helps for a quick explanation or rephrase of the concept.
💡 Tips
Keep sessions regular. Daily 10–20 minutes beats a weekly marathon.
If a card feels confusing, rewrite the back or split it into two simpler cards.
For languages, speak the answer aloud before revealing.
If you consistently hit Impossible, reduce the number of New cards for the day.
💸 Cost
Studying with Spaced Repetition is free.
