How to Edit a Transcription

You can take any Flashka transcription and edit it in your favourite editor. For now, there are two easy paths:
📥 Option 1: Download as PDF, then edit in your editor
Open the deck that contains your transcription.
Go to the Source area (where the transcript lives).
Click Download PDF.
Open that PDF in your preferred editor:
Word / Pages: many editors can open or convert PDFs for editing.
Notion / Google Docs: upload the PDF and use their built-in convert/import.
Make your edits, then re-export if you want to bring it back into Flashka.
Tip: If your editor doesn’t support direct PDF editing, convert the PDF to DOCX/RTF first (most editors or online converters handle this).
📋 Option 2: Copy & paste the raw text
Open the transcription in the Source view.
Select the text, copy, and paste it into Word, Pages, Notion, or Google Docs.
Edit freely, then save/export as needed.
Tip: Paste with “Keep formatting” off if you want a clean, plain-text starting point.
❓FAQs
Can I edit the transcription directly inside Flashka?
Not yet, we’re working on it. The current workflow is download or copy the text, edit in your tool, then re-upload if you want to regenerate study material.
Will formatting survive copy/paste?
Basic formatting usually does; advanced styling may need a quick tidy-up after pasting.
Which editors work best?
Word, Pages, Google Docs, and Notion all work well. Choose whichever you’re quickest in.
