Allow flashcard generation from multiple files simultaneously
I would like to suggest a feature that would greatly improve the efficiency and quality of AI-generated flashcards: the ability to upload and process multiple files at the same time when generating flashcards.
In many study situations, the information for a single lesson is spread across different types of materials. For example, I often have:
Slides, which guide the structure of the lecture
Lecture notes or transcripts, which contain the professor’s explanations and additional details
Both files complement each other. The slides provide the key concepts, while the lecture notes provide deeper explanations and context.
Currently, I need to upload each file separately and generate flashcards independently. This creates several problems:
Important information from one file may not appear in flashcards generated from the other
I often end up with duplicate flashcards that are essentially the same concept but phrased differently (sometimes only with synonyms)
I spend additional time reviewing and deleting redundant cards
It would be extremely helpful if Flashka allowed users to upload multiple study materials at once and let the AI analyze them together. This would allow the AI to:
Combine complementary information from different sources
Fill in missing explanations from one document using another
Avoid generating redundant flashcards
Produce more complete and higher-quality study cards
For students who study from slides, lecture notes, textbooks, or transcripts simultaneously, this feature could significantly improve both workflow and flashcard quality.
Thank you for considering this suggestion and for continuing to improve Flashka as a learning platform.

Option to generate flashcards in expanded format by default
I would like to suggest a feature that could significantly improve the study experience on Flashka: the option to generate flashcards in the expanded format by default.
Currently, after flashcards are generated, users need to manually click “Expand” on each card to see the more complete version. For users like me who consistently prefer the expanded format because it provides clearer explanations and better context for studying, this becomes repetitive and time-consuming, especially when working with large decks.
Adding a simple option—such as a toggle during flashcard generation or a default preference in settings—to create flashcards already expanded would streamline the workflow and make studying much more efficient.
This small change could have a big impact on usability by:
Reducing repetitive manual actions
Improving study flow when reviewing large decks
Allowing users to customize how flashcards are generated based on their learning preferences
I believe many users who rely on the expanded explanations would benefit greatly from this option. Thank you for considering this improvement and for building such a helpful learning tool.

Automatic detection and merging of duplicate flashcards
I would like to suggest a feature that could significantly improve the quality and efficiency of AI-generated flashcards: automatic detection and merging of duplicate or highly similar flashcards.
When generating flashcards from study materials such as slides, lecture notes, textbooks, or transcripts, it is common for the AI to create multiple flashcards that test the same underlying concept but are phrased differently.
For example, the AI might generate cards such as:
What is the function of mitochondria?
What is the role of mitochondria in the cell?
Which organelle produces ATP?
Although these questions are phrased differently, they essentially test the same concept. As a result, decks can become unnecessarily large and repetitive, which slows down the review process and reduces study efficiency.
It would be extremely helpful if Flashka could include an option such as “Detect and merge similar flashcards” or “Avoid concept duplication.” With this feature, the AI could analyze newly generated cards and:
Detect flashcards that test the same concept
Merge similar cards or remove redundant ones
Keep the clearest and most useful version of each card
This would provide several benefits:
Cleaner and more efficient decks
Less repetition during reviews
Less time spent manually deleting redundant cards
Higher-quality flashcards overall
This feature would be especially valuable when generating flashcards from multiple sources or large documents, where concept overlap is common.
By focusing on concept-level deduplication rather than sentence-level differences, Flashka could make AI-generated flashcards much more powerful and efficient for serious learners.
Thank you for considering this suggestion and for continuing to improve Flashka as a study tool.

Yes, that would be awesome! Basically the only thing that is missing for me. Also in some courses I only get the slides week by week, so it would also be great to be able to add them in the already existing deck!
